The country would have crumbled without them!  We're talking about an army of some 6.5 million carers across the UK looking after friends or family who are living with a disability, struggling with physical or mental ill health or who need extra help as they get older. And while no one would argue with how important those carers are, we also know that they are not nearly visible or valued enough. Carers Week (between 7 and 13th June) continues its mission to change that and they need our help.

They're calling for people to write to their local MP to support their campaign for better breaks for carers, or to pledge their support and to share their own ideas for how we can all better support the carers we know. Just imagine what a difference we could make. Start now by visiting carersweek.org to explore ways you can get involved.
