More than one in ten adults were living with diabetes last year (and the number is growing), and it’s thought one in two people who are living with the condition remain undiagnosed. This year World Diabetes Day (14 November) will again put the spotlight on the condition and – in particular for 2020 – the crucial role nurses play and the millions more needed across the globe, particularly in low and middle-income countries.
