Monday 21 June 2010 | Dee
Calling all parents! If you've visited our centres over the last few weeks you'll have noticed we're offering some great activities for young people to get active this summer. If you haven't, here's what's on offer to 8-16 year olds throughout August...
Halo 'Get Active', In partnership with Herefordshire Council and Sport Unlimited, offers a wide range of opportunities to take part in coaching from traditional sports such as football, netball and cricket, as well as martial arts, water fitness activities. In addition to this, we are offering the chance to get involved in less common sports, for example tchoukball (not sure? click here to see a video - you may even recognise one of the faces!).
This programme is structured to provide progression and development for all levels, so whether you are are an experienced athlete, play a lot of sport, or just fancy trying something new, we would love to see you.
In addition to this, we will be linking with Herefordshire Primary Care Trust's Change4Life team, who will provide Change4Life activities at centres during some sessions - making sure you can access a healthy lifestyle without missing out on fun!
All sessions are priced at just £5! They will last for 3 1/2 hours, and will vary from centre to centre. Please download the programme by clicking on the link below, or click here to find the contact details for your local centre, where you can find out more.
