Bridgend Recreation Centre Showcase Weekend

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May - 11.00am - 3.00pm 

Come and see for yourself phase 1 of the centre's on-going multi million pound refurbishment, there'll be lots going on.

The 'Rec', as it is affectionately known, is crammed to the rafters with facilities and activities. We boast the area’s largest leisure pool complete with hydro-slide, wave machine and a state-of-the-art Hydrogym, which makes it ideal whether you want to get fit, learn to swim or enjoy some family fun.

We offer varied timetables at our gyms. Ladies Only, and Youth sessions, as well as  times reserved for those on the GP Referral Scheme are available throughout the day at many of our centres. Please check with Reception for the best time to visit to suit you.

The gym features the latest technology with the interactive Technogym and Wellness Key equipment to track and chart your fitness levels and programmes. The Technogym and Wellness System is our state of the art interactive and motivational tool which stores personalised gym workout programmes, giving feedback and guidance.

Public Swimming Session Admission Policy:

Children under the age of 4 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a one to one basis.

Children aged between 4 and 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a maximum of two children to one adult basis.

Family Swimming Session Admission Policy:

Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a maximum two children to one adult basis.

Please note: A responsible person is deemed to be an adult over 16 years of age.

Hydrogym

A Hydrogym is installed in Bridgend Recreation Centre's poolside.

There are eight machines including the Hydro Cycle and the Hydro Strider, which help provide a full body workout - both for strengthening muscles and toning.

If you have a Complete Membership, the Hydrogym is included. Otherwise, you can pay as you go.

Team Sports

Whether you are part of a league, team or just a group of friends, our indoor sports hall can be hired for a range of activities including football, badminton, basketball and netball. Ask at Reception for details of sports clubs using our facilities. 

Creche and Planet Play

We have a creche on site, so you can workout with the peace of mind that your little one is in safe hands.

We have an awesome indoor soft play area, where children can explore and use their imaginations as they travel through space or become king of the castle! Available for exclusive booking for parties, Planet Play can be used by the public when not pre-booked for a party.

There is also an extensive range of fitness classes, sports hall, courts, crèche and numerous clubs to join.
